General Conditions of Rental

1. Eligibility and Age Requirements

   • All renters and additional drivers must be at least 18 years old to rent a vehicle.
   • Certain vehicle categories may require a higher minimum age (e.g., 21 or 25).
   • Proof of age must be provided (passport, national ID, or other accepted identification).

2. Driving License

   • Renters must hold a valid driving license for at least 1 year (or a longer period if specified for higher-category vehicles).
   • International visitors may need to present an International Driving Permit (IDP) in addition to their national license, in accordance with Moroccan law.

3. Identification and Payment

   • A valid passport or national ID card is required at the start of the rental.
   • A credit card (or other accepted payment method) is required for the rental charges and any applicable security deposit.

4. Security Deposit

   • A security deposit is mandatory and is determined by the vehicle category.
   • The deposit will be refunded upon returning the vehicle in acceptable condition, minus any applicable charges (e.g., damage, extra mileage, fuel).

5. Insurance Coverage

   • Basic insurance with a deductible is typically included, unless stated otherwise.
   • Optional coverage (Collision Damage Waiver, Theft Protection, etc.) may be available to reduce liability.
   • Renters remain responsible for damages not covered by insurance or arising from non-compliance with these Conditions.

6. Vehicle Inspection and Condition

   • Both the Renter and Columbus Cars Agadir should inspect the vehicle together at pickup. Existing damages must be noted on the rental agreement to avoid disputes.
   • The vehicle should be returned in the same condition as received, allowing for normal wear and tear.

7. Fuel Policy

   • Unless otherwise specified, Columbus Cars Agadir operates on a full-to-full basis. The vehicle is supplied with a full tank and must be returned with a full tank.
   • Refueling charges will apply if the vehicle is returned with less than a full tank.

8. Use of the Vehicle

   • The vehicle may only be driven on public roads and should not be used for racing, off-road driving (unless authorized), or illegal activities.
   • Only drivers listed in the rental agreement are permitted to operate the vehicle.

9. Accidents and Emergencies

   • In the event of an accident or damage, you must immediately inform Columbus Cars Agadir and obtain a police report if required by law.
   • Unauthorized repairs or modifications are prohibited.

10. Traffic Violations and Fines

    • Renters are fully responsible for all traffic and parking violations incurred during the rental period.
    • Any fines, penalties, or administrative fees relating to these violations will be passed on to the Renter.

11. Rental Extensions and Early Returns

    • Rental extensions are subject to vehicle availability and may incur additional fees.
    • Early returns may not qualify for a refund of unused days unless otherwise stated.

12. Cancellation Policy

    • Any cancellation fees and refund policies will be outlined in the specific rental agreement or booking terms.
    • No-shows or last-minute cancellations may result in partial or full rental charges, depending on the agreed terms.

13. Limitation of Liability

    • Columbus Cars Agadir will not be liable for any indirect losses or damages, including lost profits, arising out of the rental.
    • Personal belongings left in the vehicle are the sole responsibility of the Renter.

14. Termination of Rental

    • Columbus Cars Agadir reserves the right to terminate the rental agreement if the Renter breaches these Conditions or the specific terms in the rental agreement.

15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

    • These Conditions and any associated rental agreements are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Morocco.
    • Any disputes will be resolved in accordance with Moroccan jurisdiction and courts.
